For the first time in sporting history a world class sports women with a physical disability will be selected by each captain and included into their teams to compete alongside team members in The Global Challenge. Dutch Paralympian tennis and table tennis gold medallist Monique Kalkman, and golf champion amputee Caroline Larsson from Sweden, have been selected by the team captains to participate.

“It is an immense privilege to be the only real estate partner of this event. At Harcourts we are committed to making a difference. As a global organisation, being socially responsible is not a trend or a marketing exercise. In fact some of the world’s most successful people in fields as diverse as the arts, business, and politics have made huge changes to their lives in recognition of what it means to be in a position to help and the notion that we can all make a difference,” said Harcourts South Africa CEO Richard Gray.

Hermanus Golf Club, South Africa will host this global event for the second year running and the magnificent setting showcases the beauty of South Africa as the players share their experience with the world.

“Hermanus golf club is a sublime location, and paired with all these great professional players alongside the two amazing and inspirational women Monique Kalkman and Caroline Larsson, the event is going to be a beautiful experience. Harcourts has always believed that together we are able to change lives and make
dreams come true.

What sets this event apart is the dedication of the 18 professionals teeing up for no prize money and with the aim of raising as much money for charity as possible during the duel between the 2 Hemispheres. Professionals will be appealing to their fans around the world as part of the #BangTheDrum campaign via their social media platforms, to make a donation to those who are in need. Together with the sponsors and global fans the players will be aiming to reach their target of raising R 300 000.
